 Great scale December 20, 2008
I recently received this item and it works great. Very simple, easy to use and accurate. I can't comment on the long term but it seems to be an excellent product thus far.

Nice and handy tool that will definitively help to avoid overweight baggage fees on future trips.
 Defective-Buyer Beware January 3, 2009
The scale I received did not work at all except for showing the number "7" or "8". The manual indicated batteries were not included but there were batteries in the unit with a red tag to prevent them from being operational. The manual never described when to use the reset button so you are left to your common sense but my reset button did nothing anyway.
Beware that if the unit does not work you will most likely be stuck with prohibitive costs for returning the item.
